About
this Object Cygnus the swan and the summer triangle are prominent on summer nights. Within this busy area are many deep sky objects, galactic dust, bright emission nebula and star clusters. A third of the way above center and to the left is the bright star Deneb which marks the head of the swan. To the left of Deneb is the bright Pelican and North American Nebula's. In the extreme upper left there is a dark lane which points to the very small Cocoon Nebula. Moving below Deneb brings us to the bright star Sadar and the associated red nebula and dark dust clouds surrounding it. Near the bottom right is the double star Alberio and near the bottom left, beyond the dust is the super nova reminent comprising the Veil Nebula.
