IC 2118 "The Witch Head Nebula"

About this Object
IC2118, the Witch Head Nebula, lies near the bright star Rigel in the constellation Orion. The nebula is primarily a reflection nebula with dust grains reflecting the light from Rigel, which is off the image frame to the right. The Witch Head Nebula lies approx 1000 light years distant.
