Near the center of Orion lies IC423, a reflection nebula also known as the Tadpole Nebula. Off to the NW close to the edge of the field of view is the extremely hot star Mintaka which caused the bluish color on the upper right of the field of view. SE from IC423 is the bright star Alnilam also causing some reflection rays on the left side of the image. IC424 is the smaller reflection nebula to the north near the top of the image. The area around both these reflection nebula is very dusty and is shown as un-evenness in the background. Total exposure time used to create this image was 18hrs..
