this Object Leo A is a dwarf irregular galaxy roughly 2.5 million light years distant. The Galaxy spans 10,000 light years and is a member of the Local Group of galaxies. It shines at magnitude 12.9 and from our perspective is 5.1X3.1 arc minutes in size. Leo A is approaching us through space at 26km/sec.
