M1 , Crab Nebula, Taurus

Messier 1 or better known as the Crab Nebula is the reminent of a star that exploded in 1054 AD.  The gasses of this explosion continue to expand at a rate of 600miles/sec.  At the heart of this cloud of gas is the reminents of the star, which is now a rapidly spinning pulsar.
