Antares/M4 Region

About this Object
Located just to the west of Antares, this image shows a small portion of the southern part of the Rho/Antares complex,
one of the most colorful areas of the sky.  The globular cluster M4, roughly 6,000 light years distant is prominent
in the lower right of the image.  The 9th magnitude globular cluster NGC 6144 is visible in the upper left.  The dust
surrounding  the red giant Antares fills the left side of the image.
