this Object M98 is a fairly bright barred spiral galaxy in Virgo. The estimated distance to M98 is 60 million light years. M98 has a very dusty core with easily seen dust lanes bisecting the core and giving the hint of the barred spiral structure. Many fainter galaxies are also within the field.
