NGC4038, Corvus, Ringtail Galaxy

The Antennae or Ringtail galaxy is a classic example of two interacting galaxies.  Two long filaments of  material can be seen curving away from the main part of each system.  These filaments extent more than 5' away from the center.  This galaxy is estimated to be 90 million light years distant.
