NGC 4565, Coma Berenices, 8"LX200 f3.4, MX7C, 120min

NGC 4565 is a classic example of a galaxy that we see edge on.  The spiral galaxy NGC 4562 is seen in the lower right hand corner and many other faint background galaxies are visible throughout the image.  This image is a stack of (30) 4min exposures for a total integration time of 120min.  This was taken from my backyard observatory in Ocean Springs, MS, limiting mag 4.5.  Processing was done with Astroart, AIP4WIN and Photoshop.
