NGC 5792, LIBRA, 8"LX200 F4.2, MX7C, IR FILTER, 60MIN
This image of NGC 5792 was taken from my backyard observatory in Ocean Springs,
MS on 29 June. Its a stack of (12) 5 min exposures guided with star
2000.
Processing was done with Astroart 3.0, AIP4WIN and Photoshop.
NGC 5792 is a rarely imaged galaxy in Libra. Its a spiral with faint
open extensions of the spiral arms barely visible in this image. Two faint
background galaxies, 16.5mag MAC 1458-0115 (bottom) and 16th mag MAC 1458-0106
(Left of faint left most faint arm) are visible.
