About
this Object NGC 7009, better known as the Saturn Nebula, is a planetary nebula (Star which has blown off its outer shell of gas) in the constellation Aquarius. The object resembles the planet Saturn with arms or rings extending outward. At the end of these arms are areas of gas which glow red. The Saturn nebula also has an extended, oval, outer shell of gas. This outershell can be seen here. This image of the outshell was taken with and Oxygen III filter.
