M37  is one of three galactic star clusters in the Constellation Auriga.  M37 contains around 150 stars down to mag 12.5 with the total population of over 500  stars.  The stellar age of M37 is older than the close cluster M36.  It is estimated that M37 is over 200 million years old with a distance of 4600 light years.
