This image of the spiral galaxy M77 was taken with a Starlight Xpress MX7C and 8"LX200 from Ocean Springs MS, limiting mag 4.5 on 28 Dec 02.  The image is a stack of (30) 240sec exposures guided with Star 2000.  Processing was done with Astroart, AIP4WIN and Photoshop.  The faint outer halo around M77  can be seen especially if you view the image in a low light enviorment.  M77 is a Seyfert type galaxy which emits a strong radio source from its core.
