This image of NGC 2207 was taken with a Starlight Xpress MX7C and 8"LX200 @f5.9 from Ocean Springs MS, limiting mag 4.5 on 28 Dec 02. Its a stack of (22) 240sec exposures guided with Star 2000. The image was processed with Astroart, AIP4WIN, and Photoshop. NGC2207 is a classic example of a interacting galaxy pair. The galaxy IC2163 can be seen on the left edge of 2207. These two galaxies are interacting causing massive star formation.
