This image of NGC 2207 was taken with a Starlight Xpress MX7C and 8"LX200 @f5.9 from Ocean Springs MS, limiting mag 4.5 on 28 Dec 02.  Its a stack of (22) 240sec exposures guided with Star 2000.  The image was processed with Astroart, AIP4WIN, and Photoshop.  NGC2207 is a classic example of a interacting galaxy pair.  The galaxy IC2163 can be seen on the left edge of 2207.  These two galaxies are interacting causing  massive star formation.  An outstanding image of NGC 2207 taken with the Hubble space telescope can be seen here:  http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap991109.html
