IC 405 and Friends

About this object

This image is a 6X4 deg area in the Constellation Auriga centered near the emission and reflection nebula IC 405 also known as the Flaming Star Nebula(right of center). IC405 is the red nebula on the center right side of the image. Below and to the left of IC 405 is the emission nebula IC 410. Up and to the left of IC410 is the emission nebula IC 417. In the upper left side of the image the open star cluster M38 can be seen as a collection of blue and yellow suns. Other faint red emission areas can be seen near and around M38. This image was taken with my Canon 60Da and a Canon 70-200mm F4 L lens at f5.6.
